Last week we tried many beers. This one though, Westmalle Dubbel, was the one that made the most impact to us and thus we chose her to be in this weeks review.
She is a dubbel trappist beer with very distinctive character. Marvelous dark brown body that lets just enough light to go through and make her shine in your glass. Her foam is thick and after a short while forms a crown at the rims of the glass. For the aromas, she has hints of raisins and cacao. In addition to those flavours, when sipped we get a strong fruity character and in the end we get a bitter, wine aftertaste which last for quite some time or until your next sip.
Suggested serving temperature: 10-12 Celcious degrees
Suggested glass to be served: Chalice, Goblet or Sniffer
Enjoy responsibly and with good company
